Hi, I’m Emmy Crouter.
I’m a licensed therapist in Denver, Colorado, who works one-on-one with adults.
Background & Experience
As a sociology major in college, I became fascinated by how our environment influences our concept of self, others, and the world. This interest led me to earn a master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and become a professionally trained psychotherapist.
I enjoy reading, hiking, and walking my dog in my free time.
Individual therapy is a weekly commitment and investment in your wellbeing. With each session, you’ll cultivate a deeper understanding of your own mind. You can use this understanding to make more conscious, intentional decisions in your daily life and experience more confidence, appreciation, and connection to yourself and others.

My Approach to Individual Therapy
My goal is to support and promote self-discovery that will allow you to form healthy relationships with yourself and others, and foster an overall sense of wellbeing.
Each week, you’ll have the opportunity to share your most pressing concerns. In each session, my role is to listen closely for themes and share when I hear something significant or interrelated. Over time, we’ll build a better understanding of the themes and patterns that contribute most to difficulties and feelings of unease.
My communication style is open, honest, and judgment-free. Above all, I aim to build a collaborative relationship with genuine respect and trust.
